Job Fairs

I'm sure you all received the email, but there are job fairs going on during the following dates:

Location: Vancouver (Four Seasons Hotel)
Date: February 21st, 2007
Districts Attending and Taking Resumes: 21 total, including Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton, North Okanagan-Shuswap, Quesnel, Southeast Kootenay, Vancouver Island West, Alberni, and Campbell River.
Note: Registration Sheets came at the bottom of the email, but if you need one, I can forward it to you. It's free until February 9th, otherwise it's $10 after that.

Location: Victoria (UVic)
Date: February 7th/8th
Districts Attending: Calgary (7th), Langley (7th and 8th), Chilliwack (8th)
Others Attending: NOVA Group (ESL in Japan and for Hess Educational)

Districts Attending: Vernon (recruitment day)
Note: Applications need to be in by February 2nd AT THE LATEST! You need to register for an on-line application at: http://www.sd22.bc.ca/web/human/teacher.html to be able to get an interview, and go specifially to the "UVic Students Applicant" posting once online. They will also be at the open Job Fair in Vancouver at the Four Seasons, and will be doing one at UBC on January 26th.

If you go to http://campus.workopolis.com/index.html to register to see what kinds of job apps are available... click on the "Pick your school and register here" link, so you can get all the UVic information. You'll also need a school passcode, so if you want to save some time, UVic's passcode is "work4u".

In other news, for the Okanagan kids: we do in fact start classes this Thursday as the email said. We're at UBCO at 9:00am in LIB #302.

We should get together to talk about whether or not we should get a group to go to one or all of these Job Fairs if we're all interested in getting work next year. Email me if you have any questions or concerns.
